Philip Hardcastle

Realty San Miguel was founded by Philip Hardcastle in February 2007. For many years, Philip oversaw all aspects of the company — strategic planning, day-to-day operations, marketing, and personnel — while also representing both buyers and sellers. He worked tirelessly to deliver outstanding service at every stage of each transaction and played a central role in establishing the culture that defines Realty San Miguel today.

In 2018, he invited three of his longtime agents to become partners, bringing additional depth, experience, and perspective to the company. This allowed Philip to shift his focus toward the website and marketing efforts. Today, Realty San Miguel has six partner/brokers, with several taking on leadership roles in managing daily operations.

Philip authors the company's monthly Real Estate Market Update, covering shifts in the market, relevant legal developments, and global geopolitical events that may impact buyers and sellers in San Miguel.

His professional background runs deep. Philip spent over 28 years as a design-builder, owning his own company for most of that time, and has designed and built residential and commercial properties in Texas, Hawaii, Cambodia, and Mexico.

Born and raised in Texas, Philip attended Texas A&M University, where he studied architecture. A true jack-of-all-trades, he is also a skilled carpenter and craftsman of fine furniture. He has been a full-time resident of San Miguel since 2004.
